Hello (trying oh-so-very-hard-to-be) conscious consumers, I’m Maria, a luxury consumer with a love for sustainability.

After working in the non-profit sector for almost two decades, I realized I wanted a space where I could write freely, make connections between luxury and sustainability, and build community. See, I always felt like a bit of an outcast. I of course cared deeply about what was happening to humanity but I was simultaneously obsessed with everything luxury and this felt like a contradiction that made me feel out of place, even within my own family.

It felt odd.

How could I one day be attending a rally protesting for human rights and the next shopping for my next staple piece?

The one thing that did seem to fit was that I gravitated towards luxurious products. And by luxurious I mean those products that are made with high quality material and craftsmanship—regardless of the price tag.

So… I started a blog!

I believe there’s more to luxury than just a price tag. It’s about the quality of the work but also the quality of life of the person doing the work. It’s about ensuring the products you’re using are sourced ethically. And it’s about doing what you can to live in harmony with the planet and the species that inhabit it.

That’s why I created this blog.

To go deeper. To share what inspires us to live in harmony with nature without sacrificing luxury.

And to give you useful, honest content that feels like a breath of fresh air in your routine. One that breaks the conventional mold of skinny, white, rich, young women being the face of luxury, come along with me as we diversify this space!This isn’t just another corner of the internet where I’ll pretend to have my life together holding ice coffee in one hand while ignoring my inbox and overflowing laundry basket—it’s a space where I’ll share hot takes on the ethics behind sustainable luxury and how to navigate this sticky subject, I’ll share my finds on cool and eco-friendly travel tips, and document my own messy journey to a more sustainable life that remains luxurious.
